Cannock-based sub-contract fabrication company, Nimgrove have reaped the benefits of investing £350,000 in an Amada Laser Alpha 4.  The laser profiles out sheet metal work and complements their range of existing machinery.

Andy McLeod, Managing Director, explained: “The investment has enabled us to bring work back in-house that had previously been sub-contracted out and so has meant that we have become an effective ‘one-stop shop.’  It has also facilitated a further improvement in quality and reduced lead times to ensure that we supply our customers with the very best.  All round, we are selling a better product.  We also have immediate spare capacity and so can offer these services out to new customers.”

Furthermore, Nimgrove has successfully passed the ISO 9001 accreditation.  Andy added: “This is not the first time that we have achieved the accreditation and se we already had the necessary measures in place, but are pleased to achieve the recognition.  This will continue to enable us to work with even more customers.”

From their establishment in 1980, the firm have used the very best in CNC machinery and manufacturing techniques and have successfully supplied the earth moving industry, materials handling equipment, office and retail equipment, storage equipment, electrical switchgear, automotive, defence industries and security industry.
